Effective Tools For Finding Employment and Boosting Your Online Presence

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Having a professional portfolio, a well-designed resume and then making them accessible to hundreds of thousands of possible employers at any time is the winning combination for finding the right job or career. These days there are far too many generic jobs searching websites available on the net. There is a need for more industry specific job searching tools that are accessed by the decision makers during the hiring process.

Industry specific websites help to level off the playing field and ensure that the most qualified applicants will not be filtered out because of the sheer amount of applications that are received on a daily basis. Industry specific social networking sites such as the Talk Management Network are rapidly taking the place of generic job search sites that have users applying for every and any job they see.  Whether they are qualified or even interested in these jobs is sometimes irrelevant.

The problem with the generic job search websites is that some people use an automated program that sends their resume to every website. It is almost impossible for a hiring manager to go and sift through the many applications that are received. By using industry specific job search web sites, anyone who sends their application will at least be interested in the industry that they are applying for.  This sites help hiring managers find a qualified applicant in a quicker more efficient manner.
